Interior architecture and complete renovation of office premises with 100 desk-sharing workstations, meeting and lounge facilities, as well as catering stations.
Planning 2024-2025 / Construction 2025
On a former industrial site in Küsnacht, the headquarters of the aluminum group Novelis occupies a two-storey building section.
To offer its roughly one hundred employees modern and attractive workplaces, the office premises underwent a comprehensive redesign. After a four-month renovation, they now present themselves as bright and transparent. The desks are arranged along the well-lit exterior façades, providing an environment conducive to focused work. At the core of each floor lies the interaction zone, which includes various areas for meetings, spontaneous team collaboration, or informal breaks. On the ground floor, the ‘Townhall’—which can be separated by a curtain—features flexible, mobile furnishings and can be used for workshops or presentations.
The reception area is located on the upper floor, distinguished by a silver-shimmering aluminum counter. Other references to the tenant are more subtle: individual furnishings such as the seating benches and coat racks, as well as the rubber flooring in the meeting rooms, introduce color accents in red, yellow, and brown. These elements echo the logo of the Indian industrial group Hindalco, to which Novelis belongs. Otherwise, the rooms stand out with a raw industrial look, characterized by a ground concrete floor, a white-sprayed ceiling, and exposed installations.
