Mainly surrounded by massive office buildings, some from the Belle Époche, the six-storey building with its new envelope refers to the neighboring building stock.
Planning 2001-2002 / Construction 2001-2002

This six-storey, wedge-shaped building is located within close proximity of Zurich’s main train station. Its gable end borders onto Beatenplatz square. Surrounded by large office blocks, the building’s new envelope makes reference to the existing architecture nearby. The façade is broken up into a base level, a middle section and a recessed top floor. Artificial stone bands alternate with ribbon windows that consist of large fixed-glass panels with aluminium frames embedded into the façade, and which also incorporate unobtrusive sun shading. All of the building services inside were upgraded.
